Crop vs. resize
Cropping to a new ratio keeps pixels 1:1 but discards part of the frame — this calculator shows the largest centered crop and how many pixels you lose. Resizing keeps the whole frame but changes the pixel dimensions; the “same width” result tells you the height that matches the target ratio.

Frequently asked questions
Why does an 8×10 print crop my photo?
