Is the flip actually fair?
Yes — each flip uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used for generating encryption keys. Exactly 50% heads, no patterns, no server involved.
Why does 10 flips often give 7–3?
Small samples are noisy: 10 flips land outside a 6–4 split about a third of the time. Flip 1,000 and the heads share settles near 50% — that's the law of large numbers, visible in the stats above.
Is a real coin flip 50/50?
Almost. Physics research (Diaconis et al.) found real coins land on the side they started face-up about 51% of the time — and a 2023 study of 350,000 human flips confirmed it. The virtual coin has no such bias.
