How it works

Each round waits a random delay — roughly 0.9 to 3.1 seconds — before the panel turns green. Your reaction time is measured from the exact moment it turns green to the moment you click or tap. Clicking during the red "wait" phase counts as jumping the gun and restarts the round without recording a time, so the only way to post a fast score is to actually wait for green.

Most adults land between 200 and 300 milliseconds on a screen tap. Under 200ms is fast; competitive gamers and athletes often train toward 150-180ms, though device input lag adds a few milliseconds regardless of how quick you are.

Is my best score saved?

Yes — your fastest time is saved locally in your browser (not uploaded anywhere), so it persists between visits on the same device.

Does mouse vs. touchscreen matter?

A little. Touchscreens can add a few milliseconds of processing lag compared to a mouse click, so times aren't perfectly comparable across devices — treat your best score as a personal benchmark rather than a universal ranking.
